Spelling
This term
all students in Te Poutama will be taking part in a spelling bee. This is a
great way for the children to gain confidence and skill in spelling and to
broaden their vocabulary.
All
children have been assigned a list of words to learn over the next 3 weeks.
To get to
this stage, students were tested on a range of word lists.
After
self-marking, each student has chosen a level that will provide them with a
realistic challenge.
In week
7, children will be re-tested on their word list and the top spellers at each
level will participate in a ‘SPELL-OFF ‘
