Our first #NZKidsEdChat

Participating classes across the country all took part in a mass twitter chat answering questions relating to a motivational video we all watched.  It was such a cool experience that we think it may become a regular thing.  Everyone was engaged and responding so responsibly to the questions.  We all used the one class twitter account that I manage which is a safe and encouraging way to teach and use social media effectively.

Motivational Quotes

The children of Room 15 were set the task of finding a quote that they could relate to and write it up on the whiteboard for everyone to see.  

Constructing Circles

Room 15 spent some time constructing their own circles today using a compass.  

It was a little trickier for some than they expected!

Are you on Twitter?  I know one of our parents is ;)  I can also see Mr Fountain (Paraparaumu College Principal) has found us already too which is really cool.

Room 15 are going to be participating in #NZReadaloud which will allow the students to collaborate and talk about specific novels we are going to read throughout the year.

Twitter is one of the useful tools for the children to be able to communicate with other students and discuss the literature they'll be reading.  It is also another way you can be involved with your child's learning at school alongside our class blog.

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd send a quick email out to say Hi!  Happy New Year!!!

Our class is all sorted and set out for you on Tuesday 2nd Feb.  There is no seating plan, so come in, hang your bag up and sit wherever you like ;)
